Beth Lawrence leaves staid Boston seeking adventure out West. She finds it—and more—working for Stephen Breckland, a wealthy rancher. Stephen can be a tyrant, with his quicksilver moods and demanding ways. But though she never knows whether he’ll growl or smile at her, Beth is attracted to her handsome boss. So are many other women, including Erika Andresen, a haughty, glamorous boutique owner who is determined to win the young rancher for herself.
